David W. Bibler

David W. Bibler, 88, of Fremont OH, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. He was born on November 30, 1934 to Charles and Carrie (Gobrech) Bibler in Arlington, OH. David was a graduate of Vanlue High School. David married Virginia Sherick on September 6, 1957 and she survives.  David served in the United States Army from December 28, 1954 to November 27, 1956 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Sharpshooter M-1 and Marksman M-1 Badges. He worked as a splicing technician for Ameritech until he retired in 1994. He was a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church, Gold Wing Road Riders Association and Vacationland Traveler Campground. David enjoyed woodworking, spending time outside, riding his bike, exercising, golfing and fishing. He also loved to spend time with his family.

David is survived by his wife of sixty-six years Virginia Bibler; children, Debra Whitcum, Elmore, OH, Franklin (Stephanie) Bibler, Pahrump, NV, Cathy Bibler, Fremont, OH, Patricia (Dwight) Damschroder, Gibsonburg, OH, Kelly (David) DeMarco, Cleveland, OH; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Margaret Cole, Beatrice Durenberger, William Bibler, Charles Bibler Jr. and Leura Riedel.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will take place on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at East Side Presbyterian Church, 1020 Kentucky Ave., Fremont, OH with an hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.

Burial will take place on Monday, September 25 at 2:30 p.m. at Knollcrest Memory Gardens,18085 OH-12, Arcadia, OH.

Memorials can be made in Dave’s Honor to the church.
