My heart is heavy as I send all my thoughts and prayers and sympathy to Dave, Laura, Ben, and Gregory, and also to Chuck and Susie. I am so sorry for this sadness, but grateful Connie is in Paradise now. She was, and in our hearts, she still is a sweet and loving sibling, wife, mom, and friend.

Mrs. Miller was the best person ever. She left an everlasting impression on me and my granddaughter “Lyssie” in her teachings. What a Blessing to have all the children she taught begin their young lives with her in their hearts.

    Prayers and God Bless!

Mrs. Miller was my first and second grade teacher at Sacred Heart. I am 22 years old now and still think of her every time I eat a chocolate covered granola bar or a strawberries and crème hard candy. She always had them in her classroom and would give them to her students when they were sad or hungry. For some reason we had a very special bond that carried into my teenage years. My family loved her so much that we invited her to birthday parties and other family gatherings. She always let me pick what desk I wanted to sit in. I was bullied and didn’t always like going out for recess, so she kept me in her classroom with her for lunch/recess. When I told her that I was moving to Cincinnati when I was in the 5th grade, she cried and cried. I made sure to come and visit her at school when I made visits to Fremont to see family, and she would cry every time. She bought my brother gifts when he was born. She would sent me letters in the mail after I moved to check in on me. She was the sweetest lady I had ever met. Mine and my family’s heart is so heavy right now. There is no doubt that Mrs. Miller is resting peacefully with Jesus right now. I just thought the family should know the impact she had on her students. My prayers are with them.
