Clarence “Pete” G. Zimmerman

Clarence “Pete” G. Zimmerman, 80, of Fremont, OH died Monday, August 19, 2013 at his home. He was born on January 22, 1933 in Wood County, OH, the son of Dale S. and Lillian M. (Strausbaugh) Zimmerman. Pete was a graduate of Woodville High School and attended Barber’s School.

Pete was a Barber for twenty years. He was also owner and founder of Zimmerman Paint Contracting which paints highways and parking lots, retiring in 1999. Pete was a member of the Fremont Elks, Eagles, VFW, American Legion and Moose Club. Pete loved to party. He was friendly and funny, entertaining people with his endless stories and jokes. Pete was known and loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all.

Pete is survived by his children, Edward Zimmerman, Ithaca, NY, Daniel (Susann Robitski) Zimmerman, Jack (Lorraine) Zimmerman both of Port Clinton, OH and Jill Zimmerman, Circleville, OH; sister, Betty (Francis) Fairbanks, Gibsonburg, OH; sister-in-law, Billie Zimmerman, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Steve and Alyson Zimmerman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don (Beverly) Zimmerman and Robert Zimmerman; sister, Florence Henry.

Visitation: Thursday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
