Christofer B. Criswell

Christofer B. Criswell, 60, of Clyde, OH passed away at his home on Saturday, December 25, 2021.  He was born on July 27, 1961 in Sandusky, OH to Robert “Bruce” and Gwendolyn “Pennie” (Cheshire) Criswell.  He was a 1981 graduate of Margaretta High School.   Chris married Wendy Whittaker on July 19, 2020 in Clyde, OH.  He was a maintenance electrician at Amcor for thirty-five years.  He enjoyed boating, fishing and taking care of the lawn.  Chris loved fixing things, working in his garage, entertaining and helping others.  He loved his dogs, Bowie and Stevie and riding his Harley.  Chris was a lover of life and adventure. He cherished laughter, both his own and others’.

Chris is survived by his wife, Wendy Criswell, Clyde, OH; children, Shanne (Brianna Hronek) Criswell, Kristen Criswell both of Fremont, OH, Ashleigh (Steven) Collier, Huron, OH, Adam Moyer, Sandusky, OH; mother, Gwendolyn “Pennie” Criswell, Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Everlyn, Cecilia, Braylon and Brienne; siblings, Laura (Jim) McKenzie, Vickery, OH, Karon Criswell, Toledo, OH and Barry Criswell, Clyde, OH; father-in-law, John Whittaker, Fremont, OH; sisters-in-law, Shelly (Todd Brace) Whittaker, Lisa (Jay) Hartley and Brandi (Tony Barnwell) Carter and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Bette Whittaker.

Visitation: Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a celebration of life ceremony to follow at 7 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Celebration of Life and Burial will take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sandusky County Special Olympics or NAMI of Seneca, Sandusky & Wyandot Counties.
