
Christine (Kiser) Ortiz, 68, of Easton, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. She was born October 7, 1952 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Robert Kiser and Dorothy (Abney) Stover. She married Juan Manuel “Manny” Ortiz Sr. on May 17, 1969 in Fremont, OH. Although divorced, they remained best of friends up to his death in 2003.
Christine enjoyed painting crafts, playing games online, and watching her favorite TV shows. She loved spending time with family, and her trips back to Fremont to see everyone back home, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also adored all of her fur-grandbabies.
Christine is survived by her children, Juan Manuel “Manny” Ortiz Jr. (Andrea), Fremont, OH and Rachel Salobecke (Rich), Easton, PA; her stepson, Benjamin Baker, Norwalk, OH; her ten grandchildren: A.J. Russell, Evan, Daniella, Max & Landon Ortiz, Richie, Ryan, Jacob & Nathan Salobecke, and Haley Johnson; five great grandchildren, Brayden & Carter Johnson, Aviana & Elena Salobecke, & Willow Anderson; her siblings, Alta Olmstead (Richard), Linda Kiser, William Stover (Linda); half-brother, Nelson Kiser, and her sisters and brothers in-law that were like her own siblings as well; several beloved nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Carlos Ortiz, and her parents.
Visitation: Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Friday, May 21, 2021; 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Garden, Clyde, OH.
Memorials can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
