Chester “Chet” A. Fry, 61 of Fremont, OH passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Winter Haven, FL while on vacation. He was born March 4, 1960, in Fremont, OH to the late Harold and Mary (Foos) Fry. Chet was a graduate of Ross High School. Chet was the co-owner and operator of Complete Masonry Services in Fremont, OH and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. Chet was a hard-working man but enjoyed joking around, fishing, hunting and shooting pool. He had an annual garage project during the winter and he would not share the tv remote. Chet loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Carol S. Fry; sons, Ryan (Megan) A. Fry of Oak Harbor, OH, Michael Dunfee of Fostoria, OH and Jason Dunfee of Fremont, OH; daughter, Brandi (Steve) Mooney of Perrysburg, OH; sisters, Beth Binkley of Fostoria, OH, Aggie (Eddie) Halbisen of Fremont, OH, Margaret (Chad) Loesser of Tiffin, OH, Jo Ann Henry of Fostoria, OH and Sue (Frank) Netzel of Indiana; brothers, Charles (Evelyn) Scherer of Lindsey, OH and Michael (David) Ankenbrandt-Scherer; grandchildren, Aron Mooney, Joshua (Arcadia) Mooney, Ryan Fry, Jr and Zackary Fry and many nieces and nephews.
Chet was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara Scherer and Carolyn Welch.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place Thursday, March 3, 2022; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont, OH
