Charles Henry Shelby

Charles Henry Shelby, 82, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was born February 26, 1936 in Laurel, MS to Freezell Shelby and Cora W. (Willis) Phillips.

Charles was a Butcher in Hartford, Conn. He had also worked at James Reed Construction in Laurel, MS. Charles loved playing cards and working puzzle books. He loved his mother, sister and brother very dearly. He was a good man.

Charles is survived by his sisters, Mary Alridge (Willie Brown), Catherine (Johnny) Jones; brother, John (Felicia) Phillips and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Thomas; brothers, John Robert Powell and Houston Willis; nephews, Curtis Alridge, Tommie Lee Jones and Luther Porter, Jr.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2018, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 East State St, Fremont, OH.

Services will begin at 2:30 pm at the funeral home with Pastor C.J. Burel officiating.
