Carolyn J. Buchman, 77, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Countryside Continuing Care Center. She was born on July 11, 1938 in Fremont, the daughter of William and Helen (Swartz) Eckhardt. She attended Fremont Ross High School.
Carol married Michael A. Buchman in 1985 in Florida and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2013. She was a Homemaker and also managed Karol Ann’s Gift Box in Fremont. Carol was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She loved family time, cooking, cards, casinos, traveling and going to Florida in winter.
Carol is survived by her children, Charles “Chuck” (Candi) Cantrell, Jr., Carla (Dennis) Gullett and Christine Gottron, all of Fremont; step children, Jane Valentine of California, Peggy (Dan) Ewald of Tiffin, Joan (Neal) Childers of Dayton, Jean (Michael) Gerald of Enon, OH; sister, Mary (Doc) Bartson of Pt. Clinton and nineteen grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael A. Buchman; step sons, Michael and John Buchman; siblings, Donald Eckhardt, Anna Zilles and Billie Sidoti.
Services are private for the family.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.
Memorials can be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, OH 44870.
The family would like to thank Countryside Continuing Care and Stein Hospice for the wonderful care given to Carol.
