
Carol A. Tuckerman, 77, of Fremont, OH went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, surrounded by her family, at Parkview Care Center in Fremont. She was born on May 5, 1939 in Green Springs, OH to Paul F. and Ellen M. (Lorentz) Oakleaf. She was a 1957 graduate of Green Springs High School and received an Associate Degree from Tiffin University.
Carol married Ronald J. Tuckerman on February 25, 1961 in Green Springs and he survives. She was a Clerk at Gray Drugs and retired after twenty-one years of service. Carol was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont. She enjoyed bowling and was the secretary of two bowling leagues. She also enjoyed sewing, growing house plants, crossword puzzles and reading. She loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She looked forward meeting with her classmates monthly for lunch.
Carol is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Ronald J. Tuckerman, Fremont, OH; daughters, Debra M. Thompson, Oak Harbor, OH, Dianna L. Humphrey, Fremont, OH and Lisa A. (Daniel) Herrera, Clyde, OH; siblings, Alice Rapp of Oklahoma, Barbara (Richard) Berger, Fremont, OH, Donna (Fred) Decker of Zolfo Springs, FL and Paul (Mary Kay) Oakleaf, Jr., Green Springs, OH; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Joan Jackson and Richard Oakleaf, Sr.
Visitation: Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Friday, April 21, 2017; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Funeral Celebrant Maureen Pump will officiate.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
Memorials: Grace Lutheran Church or Alzheimer’s Association
