
Carmela Jean Wright, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green, OH. She was born March 22, 1943 in Tiffin, OH, the daughter of Carmen and Grace (Ruggerio) Mangiola. She was a 1961 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. Jean then graduated from the Toledo Academy of Cosmetology. Jean married James Vernon Wright on June 13, 1964 at St. Mary’s Church in Tiffin, OH. She was a beautician working in Fostoria for fifteen years and then at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont for twenty-five years until she retired in 2005.
Jean was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards with her girlfriends and spending time with her family and friends.
Jean is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, James Vernon Wright, Fremont, OH; children, Laurie (Michael) Zyski, Fremont, OH, Jill (David) Kovaleski, Findlay, OH and Pamela (John) Plath, Fremont, OH; sister, Lena Randall, Carmel, IN; sister-in-law, Judy Mangiola, Tiffin, OH; grandchildren, Benjamin (Brittany) Zyski, Natalie (Daniel Foos) Zyski, Nicholas Kovaleski, Amanda Kovaleski and Samuel Kovaleski.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank Mangiola.
Visitation: Monday, May 23, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, May 24, 2022; 10:00 a.m. St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH
Burial will take place Wednesday, May 25, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Tiffin, OH.
Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
