
Betty A. Boltz, 76, of Fremont, OH passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. She was born on January 20, 1940 in Fremont, the daughter of Harold and Mary (Whiteman) Ruttschaw.
Betty married Alvin J. Boltz on June 30, 1956 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2010. She was a Homemaker and also worked at H.J. Heinz Company and at Countryside Continuing Care Center. Betty was a member of the Church of The Nazarene and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children, Carol Boltz, Chris Boltz and Brenda (Jerry) Davidson, all of Fremont, OH, Viola (Curt) Yates, Green Springs, OH; siblings, Mae (Frank) Chapman and Edna (Jerry) Dhondt both of Fremont, OH, Jack Ruttschaw of Florida; twelve grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin J. Boltz; children, Alvin H. Boltz, Jr. and Christina Boltz; siblings, Harold Ruttschaw and Mary Lippert.
Visitation: Tuesday from 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Memorial Service: Friday, June 17, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 1925 N. Fifth St, Fremont with Pastor Dan Vickey officiating.
