
Audrey J. Beckman, 95, of Fremont, OH, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Eden Springs Nursing Home in Green Springs, OH. She was born on March 10, 1922, in Tiffin, OH, to Virgil and Mildred (Mills) McDonald. She was a 1940 graduate of Old Fort High School.
Audrey married Robert G. Beckman on January 8, 1956, at Old Fort United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2015.
Audrey was a homemaker and a member of Old Fort Church and Old Fort United Methodist Women. She enjoyed sewing, gardening cooking, polka dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Audrey is survived by her children, LaDonna (Tom) Lowell, Toledo, OH, James (Laura) Beckman, Petersburg, KY, and Diane (JR) Lopez, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Steve Lowell, Jeff (Paula) Lowell, Sarah (Chris) Heckle, Pam (Brock) Schueren and Anna (Jimmy) Hu; great grandchildren, Aaron (Katie) Lowell, Jacob and Danielle Lowell, Christopher Heckle III, Branson Schueren and great-great granddaughter, Evelyn Lowell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert G. Beckman; sister, Arlene Mull and brother, Charles McDonald.
Visitation: Thursday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Friday, May 19, 2017, 10:30 am at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Scott Robles will officiate.
Burial: Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort, OH.
Memorials: Stein Hospice or Old Fort United Methodist Women.
