
Arthur James Minniefield, Sr., 79, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on February 24, 2015. He was born on February 23, 1936 in Anniston, AL to the late Marian and Alice (Glover) Minniefield.
James was a concrete mason his whole working career working at various locations. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and then attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
James is survived by his children, James (Rashae) Minniefield, Jr., Columbus, OH, Keith Minniefield, Sandusky, Rhonda K. Minniefield, Indianapolis, IN, Shelia Taylor, Erie, PA and Anita (Marvin) Minniefield Savage, Charlotte, NC; step daughters, Chandra (Tardra) Jones and Velda (Patrick) Jones; siblings, John S. Minniefield, Anniston, AL, Mary Elizabeth Baker, Heflin, AL, Lois Holyfield, Hobsin City, AL, Willie H. (Ella) Minniefield, Lexington, KY, Clarence Minniefield and Barbara Ann Minniefield both of Toledo, OH and Georgia Jones, Flint, MI; former wife, Bessie Minniefield, Fremont and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, LaToya and Debbie Minniefield; brothers, Horace and Howard Minniefield and Lucille Robinson; granddaughters, Tianna Graham and Amajia Elkins.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Wednesday, March 4, 2015; 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont
