Anthony “Tony” M. Ross, 54, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on September 7, 1960 in Ashland, OH, the son of Richard “Dick” and Margery “Marge” (Donelson) Ross. He was a 1978 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Tony married Sheri L. Wolf on May 10, 1986 at Hayes United Methodist Church and she survives. He was the owner of Tony Ross Plumbing, Heating and A/C since 1987. Tony loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed NASCAR, the Cleveland Browns and loved helping people and making them laugh.

Tony is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Sheri L. Ross of Fremont; children, Cory Ross of Bellevue, Lindsay Ross of Fremont; mother, Marge Ross of Fremont; siblings, Kim (Mickey) Head of Fremont, Teri (John) Harkness of Bowling Green; sister-in-law, Linda Salazar of Clyde; nieces and nephews, Jason, Chad, Shannon, Kalee, Janelle, Kyle and Emma; great nieces and nephew, Kendall, Avery and Carter; mother and father-in law, Ralph and Nancy Conn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Ross; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Margaret Wolf.

Visitation: Monday from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH

Service: Tuesday, December 30, 2014; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Certified Funeral Celebrant, Susann Robitski Zimmerman officiating.

Burial: McGormley Cemetery at a later date

Memorials: Sandusky County Cancer Fund-c/o The United Way, 826 W. State St, Fremont, OH 43420 or Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, OH 44106.

    This came as a shock to me, as I really thought Tony was on the road to recovery. I suppose I should have known from bitter experience how this dreaded disease can take such a sudden and devastating turn. Keep your Faith and your family close. They are the best balm for this difficult time.

    my prayers are with you and very sorry for your loss. tony was a great guy. I couldn’t have worked for a better person. he was like another father figure to me when I started working for him and had a lot of fun while I did work for him and outside of work too.he has made a huge impact on my life and I have the morals I have today because of him.

    We are so very sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. He was such a wonderful guy, a great plumber and a good friend. Always smiling and never uttering a bad word, even if something didn’t go just right on a job. He will truly be missed. Please know your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

    I’m so sorry Sheri for your loss, Tony was a great guy. I’ll always remember our times at Hope Lodge and will miss him. Take care of yourself, I hope to visit you soon!     This us took us all so by surprise. So sorry for your loss. Tony was one friendly and very reasonable little guy. We enjoyed having him come to our home. Was thinking about calling him, and saw his obit. So shocking and so sorry for your loss.
