Anna Marie Hanover

Anna Marie Hanover, 49, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, November 18th surrounded by her family. She was born February 1st, 1964 to Maurice Udell “Sonny” and Betty Louise (Krienke) Spaulding. Anna was a 1981 graduate of Temple Christian Academy.

She married Roger Scott Hanover on December 1, 1984 at the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont, OH. Anna worked at The Liberty Center and at Wal-Mart. She dedicated her life to raising and being involved in her children’s lives. She was many things, but first and foremost she was an amazing mother. She loved all her grandkids and was devoted loving and caring for them as well. She loved fishing with her father Sonny and her husband Scott, and would take any and every opportunity to do so. Anna and her husband were founding volunteers and strong supporters of The Liberty Center where she worked and volunteers for many years to help change countless lives. She enjoyed spending time playing cards, and entertaining friends at her home.

Anna will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was the most forgiving person and could never say no to an opportunity to show love. She was as fierce and bold, as she was ornery and playful. Those that knew her well could never forget her bright smile, her intoxicating laugh, and her soft touch. The people that had the honor of knowing her will be forever grateful to have gotten the opportunity to spend the time with her that they did. Anna was loved by so many.

She is survived by her husband Roger Scott Hanover and mother, Betty Louise Spaulding, both of Fremont, OH; children, Jessica Hanover, Port Clinton, OH, Jason Hanover (and soon to be daughter-in-law Rebecca), Berea, OH, Kristine Hanover, Fremont, OH; siblings, Sherry (Charlie) Young, Fremont, OH, Maurice “Bud” (Rose) Spaulding, Clinton Township, MI, Kathy Gibbs, Fremont, OH and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Udell Spaulding and daughter-in-law, Amanda Renee Hanover.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013, 10:00 am at the Church on 53, 1133 Sandusky CR 41, Fremont, OH, with a luncheon to follow at the church.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Liberty Center of Sandusky County, 1421 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420 or Sandusky County Food Pantry, 128 S. Granville Blvd, Fremont, OH 43420.
