Anna (Ann) Marie (Mikolajczyk) Kupka
Anna (Ann) Marie (Mikolajczyk) Kupka, 99, passed away peacefully at her home on February 14, 2022 in Fremont, OH. She was born at home to John B. and Magdalena A. Mikolajczyk on July 10, 1922 in Fremont. Ann Graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1939 and Tiffin Business College in 1941. Thereafter, she worked at the Erie Proving Grounds in Port Clinton.
Ann married Stephen T. Kupka of Fremont on May 1, 1943. She was a devout Catholic, serving as the St. Casimir secretary for forty years. With her children, she traveled extensively to many parts of the United States as well as abroad. She was an excellent seamstress and a faithful letter writer to her children. In her later years, Ann was an avid reader, card and scrabble player and enjoyed watching sports in the comfort of her home. She loved and cherished her family beyond measure.
Ann is survived by her children, Stephen G. Kupka of Lusby, MD, Marlene (Bruce) Turner of Sequim, WA, Amy (Philip) Masten of Ocala, FL, Stanley (Martha) Kupka of Charlevoix, MI, Joanne (Greg) Leitschuh of Wake Forrest, NC; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Ann’s life revolved around raising her family who are forever grateful for her dedication and sacrifice as a mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen T. Kupka; her parents, John B. and Magdalena A. (Gorney) Mikolajczyk; sisters, Gevevieve (Null) and Rita (Newland); infant brother, Carl and brothers Stanley and Adam Mikolajczyk.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fremont. OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to ProMedica Hospice Memorial Fund.
