Ann E. Light
Ann E. Light, 80, of Greenfield Ct, Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Toledo Hospital. She was born on March 28, 1933 in Orange, NJ to Leo J. and Norah E. (Duffy) Caine. She was a graduate of St. Catherine’s Academy in Newport, RI.
Ann married Thomas M. Light on March 5, 1955 in Newport, RI and he survives. She was a Homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Ann served on the School Board for Sacred Heart and SJCC. She taught CCD classes at St. Ann for twenty-four years and was a Hospice of Memorial Hospital volunteer for over twenty-five years. Ann also served on various church committees, was a member of the Sierra Club and served as a Eucharist Minister. She was involved in Reading Buddies at the Sacred Heart Campus. Ann enjoyed vacationing at Ft. Meyers Beach, baking and senior exercise class. She loved St. Patrick’s Day and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Thomas M. Light, Fremont, OH; children, Thomas M. (Cindy) Light II, Teresa (Kevin) Casey, Timothy M. (Beth Gabel) Light, all of Fremont, OH, Lisa (Allen) Swaisgood, Lindsey, OH; siblings, Catherine Berluti, Newport, RI and Michael Caine, Cape Cod, ME; grandchildren, Emily, Katie, Megan, Cory (Candace), Leigh Ann, Taylor and Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Leonora Willever.
Visitation: Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Vigil at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, June 1, 2013, 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorials: Hospice of Memorial Hospital or Bishop Hoffman Catholic Schools.
