Angelita “Mary” Vastag

Angelita “Mary” Vastag, 77, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.  She was born on August 2, 1943 in Brownsville, TX, to Severa (Rodriguez) Escobedo.   Mary married George S. Vastag, Sr. on August 5, 1962 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2017.  She was a housekeeper at Countryside Care Center and retired after thirty years of service.  Mary enjoyed Jazzercise, baking and cooking.  She loved animals, especially her cats and dogs and loved being with her family.

Mary is survived by her children, Arny Escobedo, Fremont, OH, Marvin (Rebecca) Vastag, Clyde, OH, Roger Vastag, Sr., Green Springs, OH and Rhonda (Terry Baker) Vastag, Bettsville, OH; siblings, Benny (Elva) Escobedo, Raymond (Edna) Escobedo, Tony Perez, Mario Perez, Joey Perez, Micky (Debbie) Perez, Louie Perez, Rosie DeBlasi and Gloria Perez, all of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Severa; husband, George S. Vastag, Sr. and son George Vastag, Jr.

There will be no services at this time.
