For the two of us, we cannot think of her and a smile come upon our face. The latter years of her life we had the supreme gift to really come to know her. To her family and friends, rest assure in this one MAJOR fact, that she was prepared to join the ONE who loved her best.

Aawww, Granny! They had just announced in Church where you were and I had planned to go visit around 6. That’s okay…I just wanted to tell you I loved you and to thank you for being such a great babysitter to my daughter Jaime. I was so young, and you were such a wonderful caregiver and helpful to me. We had such a great conversation when you came back to First Baptist!! No more pain, no more suffering..Rest on Granny, Rest on!

You were the last of the “Second Street” gang of people who helped play a major role in our upbringing. We were yours and you were ours. Then later in life you became my son’s babysitter. I loved and respected the way you introduced God to your many foster kids. You were totally human….mean when necessary, but loving through it all. You will never know how much you influenced my life with your love and kindness. enjoy the Lord and don’t wait on us…get your praise on.
