
Beth L. (Willey) Lewis, 61, of Fremont, OH passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Toledo Hospital. She was born on March 14, 1956 in Fremont, the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Moon) Willey. She was a 1974 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Beth was a Dispatcher for the Fremont Police Department for twenty-four years, where she started as a part-time Records Clerk. In January, 2017 she was named City Employee of the month and was twice named Civilian Employee of The Year.
Beth enjoyed baking and gardening. She was very artistic. She enjoyed and took great pride in being a mom and grandmother. Beth was hard working and was loved by everyone. She will be greatly missed.
Beth is survived by her children, Jennifer (Calvin) Bailey, Sarah Lewis, Samantha (Mychael Gamble) Lewis and John (Mauriana Gracia) Lewis IV, all of Fremont, OH; sisters Martha (Tony) Farago, Wellington, OH and Susan (Paul) Hofbauer, Fostoria, OH; grandchildren, Shunnar Gamble, Jr., Mychael “Huddy” Gamble, Jalyce Anderson and Jeremiah Gutierrez; former spouse, John Lewis III and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Willey.
Visitation: Sunday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, May 8, 2017, 11:00 am, at the Church on 53, Sandusky CR 41, Fremont, with one hour of visitation at church prior to the service. Rev. Lorna McKinstry will officiate.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
Memorials: Sandusky County Cancer Care Fund through United Way or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
