Willie Mitchell Atkins

Willie Mitchell Atkins, 65, of Fulton St, Sandusky, OH passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Lutheran Memorial Home in Sandusky. He was born on December 23, 1947 in Fremont, OH, the son of Robert and Mamie (Mitchell) Atkins. He was a 1968 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Willie married Donna J. Hampton on February 25, 1998 in Fremont and she survives. Willie worked at Union Carbide for thirty years until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, cookouts and music. Willie loved spending time with his family.

Willie is survived by his wife, Donna J. Atkins, Sandusky, OH; children, Shawn (Stephanie) Atkins, Pittsburgh, PA and Leah Atkins, Toledo, OH; siblings, Hubert (Linda) Atkins, Donald (Jeanette) Atkins both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Adrienna Davis, Victor Williams; Goddaughter, Rosie Liggins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Atkins.

Visitation: Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH

Service: Thursday, January 24, 2013, Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Darrell Gant officiating.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH at a later date.
