Tessie E. Lowe-Dundore

Tessie E. (Jackie) Lowe-Dundore, 97, formerly of Fostoria, OH, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Middletown, OH. She was born on January 23, 1919 in Risingsun, OH, the daughter of George and Bessie (Sturdevant) Gangwer.

Tessie married Clarence Lowe in 1943 and he died November 15, 1997. She then married Harris Dundore in 1998 and he preceded her in death in September, 2007. She worked as a Housekeeper at Memorial Hospital for twenty years and retired in 1984.

Tessie was a member of the Church of The Nazarene in Fremont for fifty-eight years. She was a member of the Church of God in Fostoria, OH and the Tri-County Church of The Nazarene in Hamilton, OH. She was a great seamstress and loved sewing, crafts and going dancing.

Tessie is survived by her children, Amelia Addline (Robert) Martines, Fostoria, OH, Sharon (James) Salyer, Middletown, OH, Randel (Linda “E” Morris) Lowe, Sandusky, OH; step children, Earl (Barb) Dundore, Jr., Averndale, FL, Richard (Barb) Dundore of Davenport FL, Kay Boucher of Florida; She has, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clarence Lowe; second husband, Harris Dundore; brothers, Warren, Owen and Paul Gangwer; sisters, Maimie Keckler, Viola Gangwer and Opal Reinheart.

Visitation: Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Service: Friday, April 29, 2016 at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Walters of Tri County Nazarene officiating and Pastor Goodwin of Fostoria Church of God.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.
