Robert Joseph Troxell

Robert J. Troxell, 88, of Fremont, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Father’s Day, June 16, 2013. He was born July 18, 1924 in Tiffin, OH to Joseph and Viola (Shauan) Troxell. He graduated from Columbian High School in 1942. He served in the US Coast Guard on Coast Guard Cutter 83328 from 1942-1946 in the South Pacific and Philippine Islands. He married Jeanne Kuhn on September 10, 1949 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tiffin, OH. Robert was a Brick Mason with Local 46 BAC in Fremont, retiring in 1986.

Robert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanne Troxell and their three daughters; Cheryl (Dave) Miller, Ann (Alan) Schabel all of Fremont, OH, Chris (John) Borer, Romeo, MI; grandchildren, Bradley Schabel, Ryan (Dee) Schabel, David (Mandi) Miller and Ty Miller, all of Fremont, OH; great grandchildren, Austin, Ashley and Ruby Schabel, Megan and Matthew Kuyken and Sydney Miller; brother, Ronnie (Sharon) Troxell; sister, Norma Bushkuhl and sister-in-law, Shar Troxell all of Tiffin, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rose Windau and Patricia Ranker and brother, Paul Troxell.

Memorials Service: Wednesday, June 19, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH, with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating.

Memorials: Sacred Heart Church or Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio.
