Paula J. Mccallister
Paula J. McCallister, 64 of Fremont, OH passed away on August 9, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 24, 1951 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Bernard and Alberta (VanNess) Hotz. She was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She married Alex McCallister, Sr. and he preceded her in death.
Paula worked in Accounting at the Sandusky County Housing Authority for many years until she retired in 2012. She enjoyed playing Bunco and spending time with her family especially at the lake. Paula loved her dog Rascal.
Paula is survived by her son Don (Katie) Lane, Fremont; step-son, Alex McCallister, Fostoria; grandchildren, Tyler (Kayla Brown) Lane, Kloerissa Lane and Nickolaus Lane; great granddaughter, Izabella Lane all of Fremont and three step-grandchildren and numerous step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alex McCallister, Sr.
Visitation: Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Tuesday, August 11, 2015; 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: York Chapel Cemetery, York Township at a later date.
