Mary E. Schneider
Mary E. Schneider, 93, of Fremont, OH died suddenly on Saturday, October 12, 2013. She was born in Fremont on March 21, 1920 to Ralph and Bertha (Donnel) Hemminger. She was married to John A. “Jack” Schneider on June 28, 1947, who preceded her in death.
She touched several lives throughout the community in her founding of J & B Electronics with her late husband, work at the Ohio Turnpike, the catalog department of Montgomery Ward, and ultimately retiring from H.J. Heinz. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Emblem Club, Women of The Moose and a volunteer at the Fremont Senior Center. In her retirement, Mary enjoyed playing Bridge and Pinochle with her many friends.
Mary is survived by her son, Jon J. Schneider of Stow, OH; daughter, Candy M. Destatte of Jefferson City, MO; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Michele and Darryl Ainsworth; great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Spencer and Maryssa who were her pride and joy; sister, Gladine “Susie” Gysan of Toledo, OH and brother, Max Hemminger of Burlington, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son-in-law, Richard J. Destatte; two sisters and six brothers.
Private Services were held for the family.
