Martha J. McCoy, 67, of Lindsey, OH has joined her soul mate of forty-six years, Bobby McCoy, in Heaven on Thursday, February 05, 2015. She was born on May 12, 1947 in Fremont, the daughter of Robert and Beatrice (Reed) Stull.
Martha married Bobby McCoy on April 20, 1962 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2009. She was Director of Nursing at Parkview Care Center for thirty years. She knew and enjoyed the residents immensely. Martha was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lindsey. She enjoyed her many clubs she was involved with such as the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Women of The Moose, Big Brother/Big Sister., the Sandusky County Food Pantry and the Library Auxiliary. She also enjoyed reading, going to flea markets, shopping, casinos and traveling. She was an avid Michigan fan and Vikings fan. Martha loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Harry) Mills, Lindsey, OH; sons, Bobby L. (Jennifer) McCoy, Clyde, OH, Billy R. (Denise Stone) McCoy, Matthews, NC; siblings, Margaret McCoy, Fremont, OH, Richard (Carrie) Stull and Sandy Slane, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Nicole (Earl) Kent, Ashley McCoy, Hailey (Jorge) Perez, , Tiffany (Stephanie) Lancaster, Meghan (Tyler) Hotz, Molly McCoy, Nathan Mills; great grandchildren, Isiah and Gabriella Perez , Ryder and Kendall Cooper, Oliver Lancaster, Skylar Hotz; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby McCoy; siblings, Cathi Sorg, Karen Rhoades, Ruthann and beloved dog, Rusty.
Visitation: Sunday from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, February 9, 2015, 10:30 am at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service, Pastor Travis Montgomery officiating.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
