Loretta Ann Mohr

Loretta Ann Mohr, 86, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Countryside Continuing Care Center. She was born June 16, 1927 in Seneca County, OH, the daughter of Edward M. and Rose Stella (Yost) Ardner. She was a 1945 graduate of Scipio-Republic High School and attended Tiffin University.

Loretta married Louis Glen Mohr on November 27, 1947 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tiffin, OH and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1999.

Loretta was a Homemaker. She worked as a seamstress at Memorial Hospital from 1976 to 1987 where she retired. Loretta also worked as an Associate in the fabric department at Wal-Mart from 1989 to 1993. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing pinochle, sewing, boating, fishing, bowling and flower gardening. Her greatest joy was to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Loretta is survived by her son, Michael J. (Robin) Mohr, Sr., Fremont, OH; daughter, Sue A. (Robert) Bass, Lincoln University, PA; brother, Lester H. Ardner, Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, Kerry Searcy, Michael Mohr, Jr., Bradley Mohr and Stephanie Staib and great grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexis, Justin, Maegan and Joshua.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Glen Mohr; brothers, Francis, Robert and Gilbert Ardner; sisters, Margaret Brandt, Luella, Emma Rose and Viola J. Ardner.

Visitation: Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, January 18, 2014; 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Fr. Kenneth Lill will be officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
