Helen Blanche Smith
Helen Blanche Smith, 92, of Fremont, OH passed away on June 30, 2013 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont, OH. She was born on March 20, 1921 in Rice Township, OH to John and Grace (Foreman) Gnepper.
Helen worked at the Fremont City Schools and then as a meat slicer at Peter Eckrich & Son Co. until she retired in 1985. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and loved to sew, knit and crochet.
Helen is survived by her grandson, Matthew Palmer, Fort Wayne, IN; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Palmer; brothers, Willard “Bud”, Howard and Donald Gnepper; sister, Lucy Nowak; grandson, Andrew Palmer.
There will be no services at this time.
Memorials: Grace Lutheran Church or Donor’s Choice.
