George W. Nicholas
George W. Nicholas, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Pristine Senior Living. He was born on October 14, 1928 in Fremont, the son of Harry and Gertrude (Weichman) Nicholas.
George married Dorothy “Dottie” (Kratz) Luty on March 12, 1971 at St. John’s Lutheran Church and she preceded him in death on March 27, 2005. He was a Truck Drive and hauled steel with his own rig for twenty-five years. He then drove a semi truck for Nickles Bakery for fifteen years.
George is survived by his children, Sue (Ken) Snyder and John (Deb) Nicholas; sister, Jean Cook; step grandchildren, Justin and Michael Vinson, all of Fremont, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
There will be no services.
Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Kingsway, OH at a later date.
Memorials can be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County or Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
