Edna E. Daniel, 95, formerly of Fremont and Kansas, OH, passed away peacefully at West Shore Medical Center, Manistee, MI on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.

Edna was born on March 16, 1919 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of the late Emma (Fink) Karp and Arthur Karp. She married Louis A. Daniel on November 6, 1943 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tiffin. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2009.

Edna graduated from Fostoria High School and completed a Medical Secretary course. As a young woman she was employed at Tiffin Mercy Hospital and later in a Fremont physician’s office, but her most rewarding job was that of a homemaker. Edna’s first priority was always her husband, daughter, and grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Diane (Phillip) Wood of Manistee, MI, whom she made her home with the past five-1/2 years; two grandchildren who were the loves of her life, Corey Daniel Wood of Bimini, The Bahamas and Alyssa Ashley Wood of Brooklyn, NY; several nieces, nephews and special cousins, and her favorite caregiver Pam Raspotnik. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters-in-law.

Per Edna’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be held April 2, 2015 from 10-11 am at Wonderly-Horvath-Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 am with Deacon James Heyman officiating.

Remains will rest with her husband at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Ottawa Hills, OH at a later date.
