Curtis H. Lindsey, Sr.

Curtis H. Lindsey, Sr., 66, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 22, 1947 in Bolivar County, MS, the son of Howard and Easter (Moore) Lindsey. He was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Curtis married Mary Davis on December 12, 1970 and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2009. He was a Machine Operator at Crown Battery for over twenty years until he retired. Curtis enjoyed fishing, softball, coaching and basketball.

Curtis is survived by his children, Curtis Lindsey, Jr., Stephanie (Mark Wimbush) Lindsey both of Fremont, OH; step daughter, Sheikia Bradford, Columbus, OH; siblings, Cora Heidelburg, Elmeanor (James Liggins) James, Viola Johnson, Lee Lindsey and Stanley Lindsey, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Timothy Jackson, Jason Lindsey, Jannessa Lindsey, Warren Wimbush, Jaliya Lindsey, Tyrell Wimbush, Elijah Wimbush, Dion Sutton and Janna Sutton; God daughter, Rashe Heiskell; God son, Roy Griffin II; four great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lindsey; siblings, Dorothy Gamble, John Lindsey and Sonny Lindsey.

Visitation: Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Wednesday, July 17, 2013, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Alfonso Vann officiating.
