Bret Allan Young

Bret Allan Young, 58, of Green Springs, OH passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2017 in San Diego, CA. he was born November 5, 1958 in Fremont to Claude and Carolyn (Solze) Young. He was a 1977 graduate of Clyde/Green Springs High School and attended The Ohio State University.

Bret currently worked for Myers Construction as a CDL Driver/Operator. He was a member of the Green Springs United Methodist Church; the Masons and Eastern Star both of Green Springs; the Zenobia Shriners of Toledo and the Port Clinton Eagles. Bret enjoyed hunting, fishing,

4-wheeling and traveling. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. He played semi-pro football.

Bret is survived by his children, David (Jenn Chew) Young, Indianapolis, IN, Joseph (Samantha Edwards) Young, Terre Haute, IN, Bayley (Cameron Malicki) Young of Hawaii; mother, Carolyn Young, Green Springs, OH; siblings, Wade (Cindy) Young, Fremont, OH, Todd (Lisa) Young, Tiffin, OH; grandchildren, Kaydence, Josey and Adalynn Young, Brysen Baker; girlfriend, Cindy Hill, Port Clinton, OH.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Young.

Visitation: Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Mason Service at 7:30 pm at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N. Broadway St, Green Springs, OH.

Service: Friday, June 16, 2017, 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Christine Tobergte officiating.

Burial: Green Springs Cemetery
