Brenda Lavone Shorty

Brenda LaVone Shorty, 42, and her daughter, Vinesha Simone Zytae Darden, 2, both of Fremont, OH died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at their home as a result of a house fire. Brenda was born November 9, 1971 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Dorothy Shorty. Vinesha was born March 2, 2011 in Bellevue, OH, the daughter of Brenda Shorty and Abdul K. Darden, Sr.

Brenda was a homemaker. She enjoyed cook outs and spending time with her family.

Brenda is survived by her children, Fredrick Walker, Brianna Dykes, Brittnay Dykes, Viola Darden, Abdul Darden, Jr. all of Fremont; aunts, Addie Arnold, Fremont, OH, Katherine Brown-Lee, Chicago, IL; uncle, Charlie Shorty, Fremont, OH; cousin, Joyce Alridge along with a host of other cousins.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Shorty.

Visitation: Thursday, January 2, 2013, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Church on 53, 1105 Sandusky Co Rd 41, Fremont, OH.

Service: Thursday, 11:00 am at the church with Prophetess Pastor Katherine Brown-Lee officiating.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
